10 Days in the UK

Vanilla Slice from Betty's

Banoffee Pie at Therese's

Chocolate Chip Brioche for a snack

Banana Sin Pudding (watch next week for the recipe)

Had to support National Doughnut Week!

White Chocolate Ginger Cheesecake at Wagamama

Coconut Ice Cream with Mango Sauce

Sticky Toffee Pudding (To Die For) at Royal Oak Pub

Not to mention all the fish n' chips, chutney sandwiches (pork lattice, anyone?), and curry we consumed. Needless to say these are the kinds of indulgences I might spread out over 6 to 9 months. But time was against me on this vacation so I had to make the sacrifice and positively binge. It's true that by the end of the trip two of the four pants I had packed didn't fit, and I shall now face re-losing 6 months worth weight regain, but it was a calculated move.

And sooooo worth it!

I was more than happy to indulge in most of these with you. I am sure the baby needed all the extra sweets. I still haven't had the sticky toffee pudding at the Royal Oak, but it is next on my list. Dave keeps finding oppotunities to go, eventually they will line up with my schedule and we can go together. Yummy.

Queen Elizabeth's Mother, now deceased, was called the Queen Mum, and Sticky Toffee Pudding was her favorite dessert. Looks pretty yummy and I am guessing it doesn't even need ice cream on top. It was very patriotic of you to support Donut Week. I would have done the same.

All I have to say is, how do I get to try some of that white chocolate ginger cheesecake?

I'm glad you and your taste buds had fun, Kari!

The pictures alone made my mouth water. I'm glad you got to try all those divine treats! And, of course, you had to celebrate the donut with them! I'm glad you had such fun!

I've never heard of sticky toffee pudding - where can you get it in the US or is it hard to make? You've got to love vacation and not feeling guilty about tasting all the unique treats.

FYI everyone, Michelle is referring to the baby SHE is expecting in July.

I am definitely looking into a recipe for sticky toffee pudding. It's a super moist, sticky, toffee flavored cake with toffee sauce and either hot custard or ice cream on top. amazing.

We have a bunch of recipes for it. I'll put Dave on it when he gets back!
